Five golden bronze forms on the floor. Each one is a parrot. Each one is a seed.

The green parrot is one of Colombia’s most trafficked animals, taken from forest into household, into farm, into decoration. Once it learns the language, it cannot go back. The seed carries the same logic: extracted, transplanted,
made to produce somewhere it was never meant to grow. To graft is to force one thing to take root inside another.

These five forms are hybrids, bird and fruit, creature and commodity, something living and something waiting. They accumulate on the floor like fallen treasure, like a harvest, like desire that has nowhere left to go. Precious, repeatable, heavy with what they were worth to someone else.
